起源

Curator 最初被称为 clearESindices.py。它的唯一功能就是删除索引。它几乎立刻被重命名为 logstash_index_cleaner.py。过了一段时间，它被短暂地迁移到了 logstash 仓库下，命名为 expire_logs，正是在那时它开始获得新的功能。不久之后，Jordan Sissel 被 Elastic（当时仍叫 Elasticsearch）雇佣，Curator 的原作者也是如此。没过多久，它就变成了 Elasticsearch Curator，现在托管在 https://github.com/elastic/curator
